Special grounding bolts/pins and special grounding plugs are used for grounding aircraft and power grids in maintenance halls. In the past, and in some cases still today, special screw connections were required for this purpose. These connections have the disadvantage of being time-consuming to connect and disconnect, as well as presenting a potential danger if they are not disconnected before the aircraft is moved again. To solve these problems, we have developed our grounding plug with breakaway protection.
The Grounding plug is an extremely robust all-metal plug with quick coupling and integrated mechanical overload protection. It provides a reliable and easy-to-install grounding. The built-in breakaway protection prevents damage to the aircraft etc. if the cable is pulled too hard - even if the plug is forgotten to be removed before take-off.

Cable assembly IFE plug, applies to all types IFE 200-1
1. Cable assembly with crimp ferrule.
2. Remove the anti-bend guard (back piece only) and unscrew the grub screws (only until the inside is free).
3. Insert the crimped cable through the anti-bend guard and push it into the copper coupling piece as far as it will go.
4. Tighten the grub screw, first one completely and then the second. Tightening moment: tighten until firm, no more than 3 Nm.
5. Install bend guard.
6. Done.
