ATM Pipe Bearings
For the best possible structure-borne noise isolation in pipelines
ATM Pipe Bearings
ATM (Acoustic Tube Mount) Pipe Bearings for the highest demands in structure-borne noise, shock and vibration reduction/isolation for pipelines. With our ATM series, you can master structure-borne noise, shock and vibrations in pipelines. Our solution for the best possible structure-borne noise isolation has the highest structure-borne noise reduction of all pipe bearings on the market.
Applications
If you work in shipbuilding, build luxury yachts or own a ship or luxury yacht, it can be very disturbing to be confronted with the vibrations and structure-borne noise of hydraulic system piping and the unwanted resonances they emit. Acoustic Tube Mounts (ATM) are used to isolate these annoying noises and vibrations in the pipes.
Vibrations and noise generated by heavy machinery such as diesel engines and pumps can be transmitted to the outgoing pipes despite the use of rubber hoses. This transmission takes place via both the fluid in the pipes and the walls of the pipes themselves. In this type of situation, ATM pipe bearings are very effective and are mainly used for hydraulic system piping installations.
Structure-Borne Noise Reduction up to 60 dB
The advantages of reducing structure-borne noise in ship cabins and accommodations are evident. In the lower frequency range, noise levels are reduced by 100 Hz and 10 dB. In the upper frequency range, frequencies are reduced by 500 Hz and 25 to 60 dB. A higher reduction of the noise levels is also possible. However, this depends on the design.
ATM pipe bearings effectively isolate the small vibrations that occur in the pipes and thus help to significantly reduce structure- borne noise in ships.

Proof of Effectiveness with Independent Measurements
Extensive series of measurements, which were carried out both in our laboratory and externally, have proven the excellent properties of the ATM pipe bearings. Extensive measurements by the German Navy have shown that when using ATM pipe bearings, both structure-borne noise and consequently also waterborne noise could be significantly reduced (measurement report by MTG, Hamburg).
At the Berlin Institute of Mechanics, Mechanical Vibration Theory and Machine Dynamics, Prof. Stühler carried out extensive investi- gations, also making comparisons to other elements of a similar type. Here, too, the excellent properties of the ATM pipe bearings were proven.
Special Product Features
The highest level of structure-borne noise reduction is achieved thanks to special design. A small number of model types cover a wide range of different tube sizes and ensure optimal damping and reduction of structure-borne noise and vibrations. They feature a tested and proven design and do not require additional mounting options. The ATM pipe bearings supports bring the advantage of minimal installation effort.
The raw materials used are non-magnetic. They are resistant to grease, oil, solvents, polymers and high temperatures.
Another advantage of the reduced number of types is simplified stockkeeping and logistics, which are associated with cost savings.
