SEBERT Schwingungstechnik, the main shareholder of the Sebert companies,was established in 1984 as sales representative for wire rope cable shock mounts in Germany and manufacturing of power supply and earthing plugs for aeroplanes.

Since beginning of 1987 SEBERT became one of the main suppliers to the German Navy and related industries in the field of vibration and shock control.

In April 1993 SEBERT started its own manufacturing plant for wire rope shock mounts in Kirchheim and diversified also in the production of elastomer and rubber mounts. This was the time the company decided to focus on shock and vibration control. Very soon this activity developed into a great success. Already in 1996 on average around 2.500 damping elements of all sizes and types were sold per month.

In October 1996 a daughter company, Sebert Nord Gerätebau, was established in the North of Germany near Bremen with the goal to give better service to the northern German and European areas and to extend our production. In addition manufacturing of special toolings for diesel engines and for the Navy was developed.
In the year 2000 the first 6 channel vibration battery driven laptop measuring system M2S was introduced into the market.

Finally Sebert GmbH rounded up the manufacturing and service program by the foundation of the Dutch company S2T- Trillingstechniek B. V. in 2002, which became a leading company in the field of shock and vibration testing, resulting in a close cooperation also with TNO transport testing department.
